This lip shimmer is amazing! I have it in guava, and radiance. The more you layer it the more pigmented it is. They are absolutely gorgeous and moisterize so well! They make your lips tingle with the minty feeling :). These are the best lip balms I have ever had and I definitely recommend them to anyone!
I was a bit nervous about trying this lip colour as so often the ones that are moisturizing/ good for my lips tend to be ones with little to no colour. And on the other hand a lot of lip colours crack and look bad on my kips. This colour is THE colour to use. Iuse a variety of the darker shades (like Fig) and it feels good on my lips, lasts a long time and keeps my lips feeling soft.
I use the Peony shade and it is a great lip colour, really flattering on my fair skin tone. It has that great mint tingle of the lip balm and does moisturize a bit. I layer it with the regular Burt's Bees lip balm for extra moisture and to help it glide on and I think it helps the colour last longer. I will definitely buy this again and will try different shades.
Nowadays lip products are packed with harmful ingredients bad for your skin and even the environment such as petrolatum, mineral oil, parabens, propylene glycol and the list goes on. However Burt's Bees lip shimmers finds a way to make great lip shimmers without the bad! It last long, has a cooling peppermint oil effect, beautiful color application, moisturizes and does NOT test on animals! :D (Even if you don't like the smell of peppermint the scent fades away eventually). I am so grateful this product exist! Thank you Burt's Bees! Best lip product ever!
I love love love these lip shimmers! They are amazing!
I use mine as a blush and a lip colour, layering on makes the colour stronger. My skin tone is a medium warm - tannish, I have dark hair, if all that helps. Here are the colours that look good and not soo good on me:
Rhubarb: This colour is amazing, its a dark pink-red. Matte colour. I used it as a blush and a lip colour. It's a nice sophisticated colour, closest to my own lip colour.
Fig: Similar to Rhubarb, it is matte, and it is red-brown. I used it as a cream blush and lip colour.
Guava: Frosty, metallic light pink. Shimmery.
Watermelon: Darker version of pink/Guava. Shimmery. Less metallic.
